End of Sale of the VA-SPE Appliance

This announcement provides notification that Pulse Secure has begun the End-of-Life (EOL) process for the VA-SPE virtual appliance. In its place, Pulse Secure is launching the new PSA-V series of virtual appliances designed for use in the data center or with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure.
The PSA-V extends the high performance and operational capabilities of the hardware-based Pulse Secure Appliance (PSA) to a virtual platform ideal for Hybrid IT use. These capabilities, not available in previous versions of the VP-SPE, include:

  • Increased scaling by 2.5x to 25,000 concurrent users
  • Added resiliency with clustering support for two node Active/Active and Active/Passive clusters
  • Deployment flexibility with or without a license server
  • Enhanced operations with support for In Case of Emergency licenses

Using the PSA family of appliances, the enterprise no longer has to make security or performance compromises when they shift applications to the cloud.
